On Auroville 2022 to 2025

This article wishes to offer a model of active collaboration between Auroville and the Government of India, which will be apt to evolve while respecting the priorities of both parties equally; its modalities may be rapidly studied and worked out, setting the functioning of parallel and complementary managements allowing at once to avoid misunderstandings and to progress continuously in the discovery of a future more harmonious and conscious of the Divine. To sum up this proposal, it is actually a matter of confirming the truth of each part while providing all the parts with a structure flexible enough for each and all to progress without hindrance. - The outer circle, eventually the largest, is composed of all these persons who wish to help and participate in Auroville‟s action in the world, in close collaboration with the Government and its various departments, by contributing their expertise, skills and capacities in domains such as education, resources, governance, economy, health, society, agriculture, drawing from Sri Aurobindo‟s and the Mother‟s teachings and Auroville‟s experience. Their habitat and personal needs are funded by the Government, and the necessities of this circle are managed by the Central administration, but they are invited and expected to participate in the collective activities of the community and they are concerned and committed to its orientations and choices. - The second, or middle circle, is composed of those who have chosen to join the adventure of the quest for human unity in life itself and are ready and willing to serve this ideal through work of whatever nature and the organizational tasks of the community, contributing all they can and all they are in every field of activity according to their individual capacities. Their needs are taken care of by the community, while the profits of their enterprises and services are managed by the community for the wellbeing and progress of all its members. - The third, or inner circle, is composed of those individuals who aspire to give themselves entirely, through the constant progress of their whole being, and in every activity, to the Truth-Consciousness; they offer to the community, which manages all their needs, all that they are able to offer and participate to the collective effort according to the necessities of the moment, contributing their experience and discoveries to the evolution of the whole. Thus, several circles of residents can be identified, according to their aspirations, motivations and abilities.

All the residents of Auroville, in all three circles, are provided with the Central Government‟s guarantee.
