On Auroville 2022 to 2025

This text and its proposal seek to answer to the present necessity by placing the situation in which Auroville finds itself today in a larger perspective, so as to emerge from out of a deleterious chain of reactions through an approach more inclusive, courageous and offered. It is not about a definitive or permanent solution, it is about a movement of integration on the way; for Auroville‟s true desti ny will necessarily reveal the real solution, for which no model exists as yet upon earth, when its collective consciousness will be ready, and not before. Today, Auroville must propose a mode of harmonious collaboration with the Central Government, which will allow it to participate actively to India‟s future and mission in the world, while freely progressing on the adventurous path of its collective realization at the service of the Truth-Consciousness. It is the surest means of ensuring both the continuation of the experience of Auroville and of its protection. Moreover, such an agreement may allow and encourage a circulation of energies more compatible with a materialization of at least part of the city of Auroville, on the condition that scrupulous conscientiousness and attention is given to the forms and methods of construction. For instance, a project conceived with utmost care drawing from the acquired experience can rapidly be worked out for the habitat or the members of the outer circle, presented to the Governing Board of the Foundation and, with its recommendation, financed by the Central Government as an example and an invitation for new projects and contributions. The practical modalities of this passage to a new stage of Auroville‟s destiny and history will be discovered or will reveal themselves as the energies will join in a better comprehension and a more conscious sharing of our commitments and aspirations. Quarrels lead nowhere, neither do the will for control or imposed rules and regulations. We have the choice. Let us make this choice together, so that all aspirations may freely follow their path in mutuality and complementarity.
