On Auroville 2022 to 2025

-13: 15-11-2023: “ Embodying the Spirit of Auroville upon earth. (The following text is written with the wish and prayer that we all move away from antagonism and positions, reflect on our respective attitudes and let all judgments be dissolved. There is so much division in this world, so many warring identities; we must do our work here - this is one of the purposes of Auroville: to clear the way out, in ourselves first, of exclusivism and all partisan promotion and learn to receive the right guidance.) Recently, the Secretary‟s Working Committee has invited a selection of Aurovilians to participate in an open discussion; they now wish to continue this experiment in “sharing” with more volunteers, each one endeavoring to contact and invite five more. The y have, however, stated their conditions: there are two “non - negotiable‟ – the Charter of Auroville and the Galaxy Plan. Now, of course, the first one is unnecessarily mentioned, as only a self-declared enemy of the Divine would object to the Charter. Besides it is not a form which one can object to, reasonably or not, but the expression, the first expression of a Spirit, a new Spirit upon earth; it is directly connected to and developed in the text called “To be a True Aurovilian” and we, each and all of us, refer to these two texts as our guides and our keys to the future. Both these texts are well documented, and their genesis is accessible in Mother‟s Agenda. The reference to the Galaxy plan is of a different character altogether, for it is a composition, one of a series, created by Roger and his team of the time, in response to the inspiration generated in them by Mother‟s Force – a Force of Consciousness in constant movement and progression. It is a proposed form, which may have been striking by its newness and boldness, and may still appeal in a general way, but it is not a constant, it is not in and of itself a reliable guide to the transformation of our nature or to the development and embodiment of a true consciousness in life and matter, through individual and collective sadhana. As an inspired form, it provided an anchor in the collective human consciousness, a recognizable marker and signal, the expression of a call and an invitation to join in the adventure and the quest for this new spirit. More than fifty years have passed; how far have we as a collectivity become able to embody the spirit of Auroville, is hard to assess; in experience, in practice, in our lives and in our environment, in our actions and behaviors, in our works and processes, how can we say how much of this spirit is alive and active in Auroville?
