By this clearing and pruning and unraveling and sorting of our personal movements and habitual behavior, we can now better see the nature of the energies which are active in our human world.

And this we see: it is not that the sexual energy be “bad” and that consequently one ought to condemn and reject it and dissociate from it so as to purify oneself.

It is rather through the use other forces make of the sexual energy that it becomes an obstacle or a factor of confusion, disorder and obscuring.

In its sheer physical reality, this energy is frank and clear of calculations.

It is innocent.

But we all have learnt, or had to learn, to personalize it with the help of our vital and mental capacities and, so doing, we have become the possessed.

To procreate through mere attachment or affective need, out of pride, as one’s duty, or by accident, or as an investment, or to conform to the dominant values and priorities?

To procreate, to pull or call or force another being into this body that will be born of our associated cells, with the inevitable transmission of our respective subconscients and our genetic load, of our oddities and weaknesses and fortunes and miseries?
