And from the beginning I have tried to find and address the being and nature of Sri Ganesh beyond all of that, above and deeper. And I sought this with a sense, or belief, or trust that some sort of fruitful collaboration could be learned and developed – not that my little “I” would ever claim to be on par, but that as an incarnate psychic being and atma, one should be able to invite and share some actual help from those beings called “gods”, and particularly from Ganesha… … In a way I do not approve of this kind of expectation: one must rather learn to give oneself to the Divine without any expectation whatsoever. It is actually the other way: that, within what “I” am, the Divine is there, and what I feel so strongly as needed is felt with that divinity as well…- it must therefore be helped and supported...! But then I often doubt myself there: am I fooling myself?

But Sri Ganesh, Looking at your figure Richly smiling With gentle fire And the fruits of light, I must agree that the first priority Is to grow able to offer

True equanimity, Such as is shown By your constant Generosity…
