… This is the tourist season! A couple of them, typical white tourists with their huge rucksacks, large shoes and dazed looks, came trampling in and around the garden and did not even look in at Ganeshji! … Sri Ganesh is so beautiful and strong every day, and I don’t know clearly how to feel about the fact that so few people have a chance to view this beauty and to experience the meanings it conveys. Should I behave and act differently so that more people would feel it is worth it to come here? I don’t know at all whether I am an obstacle, a hindrance, or if it is right that the whole thing remains silent and ignored… Parthy had an odd dream last night: he somehow realized that his body was poisoned and he was holding a small statuette of Ganesha in his hand, Ganesha without hair, crown or any ornament, ready to work, big-bellied and of golden hue; and Parthy was singing “Aum Namo Mahaganapati” while indicating to Ganesha that there was poison in his body; and suddenly Ganesh “attacked” the poison, clamping onto Parthy’s shoulder and sucking the poison into himself till he drew it all out.
