… Since Saturday last, the TNEB line men have been clearing the adjacent field South of here along the main road and have obviously entered the garden in our absence and roughly laid new cables on the ground and also brought and unloaded a new concrete pylon on the other side of the secondary road, opposite the gate, which seems to indicate that they will not set it inside the compound and that the distance between the poles is more than the span of the garden… … Almost constantly I am wrestling with a very basic and intensely strong energy and there are many moments when I almost fear going mad, turning insane; there are other moments, such as have come, lately, every night from about 3 am onwards, when such a profound and helpless sorrow fills my heart and life… I have not gotten mentally stronger for the battling; it is only when I find the aspiration to turn to the True Inhabitant, to the True Incarnate, that the fight changes its character and a smile of trust returns in this life… Because intellectually I still do not understand where this comes from; but now it connects to my love for Parthy and seems to gather in its intensity all the nasty relentless opposition that has plagued me since this birth, an opposition to this present life leading to an actual step in Your Work…
