… I was two minutes late this morning…! Parthy has been unwell: he first got a boil in his right arm, straight from his baby daughter whom he was holding for hours at night when she herself had a boil on her buttock; then he got more feverish and had pain in his joints, but went on working building scaffolds on construction sites. Last night, as a good rain was finally pouring, he got himself transported by car to the house in Sincerity – he wanted to be with me rather than letting his family take him to a hospital… I gave him a tablet to bring the fever down and he went to sleep, but I was tense about it, and also feeling inadequate, as my own energy levels are very low… This morning, I had to look after him a little and got late and then the motor-cycle broke down and I had to borrow A’s… Later in the morning, A brought Parthy here, while I was preparing the puja… Parthy was having too much fever and was a little scared to be left alone; I asked A to take him to a doctor to have a shot against the fever… And so, today, it is very late when I finish the Aarti…
