But the thing is, in some ways I am also of the opinion that it is wrong, or redundant or a clinging to what must go, to be addressing gods, for instance, instead of turning solely and integrally, directly and unreservedly to That – or, at any rate, to You alone, Mother, through Whom That is working… For one thing – and that would be sufficient reason for me -, it is to serve the keeping of Your word: You had given Your word that this shrine to Lord Ganesha would be attended every day always… But then, there is also some clear sense and purpose in seeking the collaboration of the gods for the Work upon earth – and who among them would be better suited as a representative than Lord Ganesha…? And then I come to the basics: as Sri Aurobindo has succinctly summarized, Ganesh is the power to remove obstacles by the force of knowledge… And this is the crux of the matter, for it is a power which is completely strategic to the Work…! And perhaps this is what I have been learning about, for almost 6 years now…? So, how do I end up here day after day?
