7-8-9… The number 7 has been always prominent in Francis’s life, and he became 87, the last 7 th of July…! If the burial was postponed till today it was supposedly to allow for a number of people who had to be informed and travel (from Algeria for instance); but, as for every step of his withdrawal, I am quite impressed by the quality of the process, as if he had been inwardly a great yogi. Over the last three weeks of his body’s life he first gradually ceased to ingest any food; then, when that was completed, he stopped even ingesting any liquid; and yet it took another three days, during which he remained alert and conscious and responsive whenever he chose to be… The last time he and I could externally communicate, Auragni was by his side, and holding her cell phone on speaker mode next to him and we three could laugh a little together: this was five days before he passed. … Sri Ganesh, according to history you seem to have traveled from an initial identification with the darkest, most unwilling parts of evolving consciousness, to your present auspicious station wherefrom you offer a haven of safety, confidence and cheerful progress. This gradual shift and/or transformation, if one goes by historical accounts, is the result of corresponding, compatible or concomitant shifts and developments of the Indian people’s approach to the Divinity. But, to my sense, it is what makes you at once more truly the Son of the Shakti, as you have fully explored her ill or negative effects on the undeveloped human psyche, and more truly a brother, having seen and measured all the pain and corruption and all the efforts at redemption and liberation to which the same human psyche has been and still is subjected…
