And then, I can’t help taking a sobered look at my “service” to Sri Ganesh… What do I know?!!! Isn’t all this a sham, a pretence to address a spiritual reality when actually I merely project bits and pieces of received knowledge and mix it all up with my own selfish need for beauty and meaning…? Can I ever hope to become able to let this reality, named Lord Ganesha, reveal itself without interfering…? Today I am fasting… … Perhaps a key-question in this whole world is: what can man do, what can men contribute to manifestation, to the One in Many, that Nature – mineral, vegetal, animal – and the Gods – and all subtle entities – cannot do, cannot contribute…?
