Of what is our species not capable, in its urge and thrust and aspiration towards self-perfection, as in its attraction for horror and negation?

Will it be given, will it have the earthly time to find the evolutionary passage to a more clement condition – more faithful to unity and more expressive of the harmony, the truth, the love and the joy which we, so far, could only glimpse in moments of grace?
