The local panchayat has been hiring older ladies from Edayachavadi village to excavate manually new rain-water retaining ponds along the road; in one of those, they dug out several chunks of petrified wood and Vadivel, who supervises the work, and knows my liking for these beautiful, priceless works of nature, showed them to me the other day; today he and some of his helpers bring them, 3 large wonderful pieces. I will place them around the Prosperity Nagalingam tree, right behind the Shiva lingam.
