In the night there was only a little drizzle but today both the cloud masses from the South and from the North are meeting and joining over the coast and a slow rain has begun. … As I end the Aarti I hear a man’s voice calling from the gate “Divakar Sir” and I then realize he wants me to come and help lifting up the Bullet which has fallen on its side due to the softening of the soil: this is a villager I do not actually know but who knows who I am, who, driving by on his vehicle, has seen my “Pushpak” fallen and tried to pull it upright by himself and could not and only then came in to call me… and that is in itself a gift of care, so very unusual and yet so simple: this is one of the rare, but existing, expressions of care and respect that, now and then, come to balance the general callousness…
