And if it is also a matter of a city to be built, it is that a critical mass representative of mankind must be reached for the adventure to acquire its full meaning and its decisive import for the Earth. “The city the Earth needs” – each difficulty, each contradiction, each dilemma the human species encounters at this stage of its evolutionary history, must be faced and offered in this laboratory and clues or germs of new ways must reveal themselves there = this is why one may spend without counting so that the experiment may be conducted as integrally as possible in the present terrestrial conditions.
