iii When the train journey is dislocated enroute due to bundh, agitation or Rail Roko-refund will be granted after retaining fare for the travelled portion and the balance in full. iv If the train is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances such as accidents, breaches or floods and the ticket is cancelled within three days excluding the scheduled day of the de- parture of the train or if the train is running late by more than three hours and the ticket is surrendered before the actual departure of the trail-Full refund will be granted without de- ducting cancellation charges or reservation fee. Refund in case of failure of A.C. In case of the failure of air conditioning on the train, refund will be made on A.C. Class tickets for that portion of the journey over which the A.C. system has not worked, to the extent of difference in fare between A.C. Class and Non A.C. Classes as mentioned below. A.C. First Class Difference in fare between First A.C. and First Class A.C. Sleeper Class Difference in fare between A.C. Sleeper and Sleeper Class A.C. Chair Car Class Difference in fare between A.C. Chair Car and II Class Mail/Express fare. Such refund should be claimed at the destination station within 20 hours of reaching the destination station on production of certifi- cate from the conductor or guard or Travelling Ticket Examiner regarding failure of air-conditioning on the train over the portion of journey where the A.C. System has not worked. Non-commencement of journey due to late running of trains i No cancellation charge shall be payable on a reserved ticket and full fare shall also be refundable if the journey is not undertaken due to late running of trains by more than three hours provided that such tickets are surrendered before the actual departure of the train. In the case of RAC and waitlisted tickets full refund will be admissible and the clerkage charge will be retained. ii Where a passenger holding a ticket with or without reservation misses connection at any junction station owing to late running of the train by which he had travelled the fare for the untravelled portion shall be refunded after retaining the fare for travelled portion without charging any cancellation charge at such junc- tion station, if he surrenders the ticket for such refund within three hours of the actual arrival of the train by which he has travelled. Procedure to apply for refund 1. Time limit for Refund Claims: Claims for refund are to be made to the Chief Commercial Manager/Coaching Refunds of the ticket issuing Railway within 90 days from the date/scheduled date of commencement of journey. Claims received after 90 days will be deemed as time barred. 2. Passengers can obtain refund of fare from the station where the ticket is purchased on surrendering the ticket at the station as per the time limits prescribed. 3. In case the refund is sought after twelve hours due to any reason:

a) If the amount refundable does not exceed rupees one thou- sand in each case (if a computer ticket/BPT issued is for four persons amounting to Rs. 4000/- the same can be treated as four cases and dealt). b) The refund asked for is not in respect of partially used tickets (i.e. where the journey is performed for some dis- tance) check soldier ticket Police Warrants or Military war- rants. i At stations where Area Officers are posted if tickets are purchased at these stations on S.C. Rly at Akola, Bhad- rachalam Road, Bellampalli, Kazipet, Miraj, Purna, Raja- hmundry, Ramagundam, Renignta and Vasco-da-gama. or ii The same can be obtained either at station (i) where Gazetted/Non-Gazetted Station Manager are posted if the tickets are purchased at the following stations on S.C.Railway. 4 Passengers in all other cases should apply to Chief Commercial Manager (Refunds) of Zonal Railways in which the station where ticket is purchased/is situated subject to the above said rules as otherwise there will be delay in processing the cases while forwarding to the concerned railways and arranging pament. In the case of tickets which are partially used (cases wherein journey has been performed partially) passengers are requested to get their tickets cancelled/surrendered and obtain ticket deposit receipt from the Station Master/Hd TCs/and apply to Chief Commercial Manager (Refunds) as stated above.
