INDRAIL PASS An Indrail Pass is an 'As you like travel ticket', within a specific time covered, that is available for sale to foreign tourists and Indian Nationals residing abroad on production of valid passport. This ticket can be paid only in U.S. Dollars and Pound Sterling.

RESERVATION DETAILS The Railway Administration will endeavour to provide reserved accommodation by way of a seat, berth or carriage, as the case may be in accordance with the rules and conditions published in Coach- ing Tariff. The Railway Administration does not guarantee re- served accommodation by any particular train and will admit no claim for compensation for inconvenience, loss or extra expenses due to such accommodation not being provided or reserved carriage •not being attached to a particular train. Advance reservation 1. The period of advance reservation is 45 days for all trains, excluding the day of journey, except for the following trains for which the period of advance reservation is as shown against each.

CIRCULAR JOURNEY TICKETS 1. To facilitate people who desire to visit places of importance such as pilgrim centres, places of historical, religious, industrial, cultural and other interest, circular journey tickets are issued subject to the following provisions: a) All journeys other than the normal and reasonable "direct" routes will be deemed to be circular journeys: It is clarified that normal and reasonably direct route be- . tween two stations should be taken to be the shortest route or any longer route if the distance does not exceed the distance via shortest route by more than 15 per cent. b) Break journey is permitted without distance restriction. c) A Circular Journey Ticket will be chafged as for two single journeys, the length of each single journey is taken as half of the total distance. 2. However if longer route to destination is faster than the direct route on account of introduction of Superfast trains and better connections, fares would be charged on the through carried route. 3. Non-standard Circular Journey tickets are also issued at the specific request of the party addressed to the Chief Commercial Manager of respective railways -e.g. (S.C. Railway, Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad - 500 371) at least 15 days in advance. These tickets may also be issued in the reverse direction. 4. The following undertaking is required to be given by the

2. An individual can book only upto 4 tickets in the case of a party and 6 in ease of family at a time. All tickets should be to the same destination by the same train. Only one requisition form is accepted from a person at a time. However, Station-Superin- tendent/ Station Masters/Chief Reservation Inspectors/Chief Reservation Supervisors have been authorised to give permis- sion to bonafide parties consisting of more than four/six but not exceeding forty persons, such as marriage parties, cultural troupes etc. to secure reservation against a single reservation form treating them as one unit.
