Another Choice

But we cannot be trapped again.

With the repeated experience of the inner axis, our body itself has known, or refound, emotions that are so painfully absent from the ordinary human existence.

Gratitude.

The urge to give oneself, to serve.

The adoration of the Presence.

And our physical consciousness has, here and there, awakened as it were from a very bad dream.

Here and there the hypnosis has dissolved.

So many movements which we qualified as normal and human, so many notions which our intelligence used to entertain, so many presumptions which we would declare legitimate, appear now as so very gross, absurd, or futile.

This experiential axis, inner and subtle and yet also physical, is impregnated with what for our thought was merely a concept – which it could only seize through opposition -: the Truth.

And now Truth has become for us a central law, puissant and imperative.

This active Trinity at work is a Trinity of the Truth.

We recognize it through the need we have of it, through the action it has on our external nature, through its awakening power and mostly because we now intensely understand that, without the Truth, no progress, no harmony, no equilibrium, no love can settle here on this human earth.

All that in our nature refuses its law, or denies it or seeks to elude its reach is showing to us, by the footprints leading to it, the den and the lair of the contradiction which each of us carries.
