And instead of learning how to manipulate or control this phenomenon to our own separate ends, one must rather learn to serve it in its truth.

The more the Presence grows in oneself, by one’s opening, aspiration and self-giving and the more She reaches and acts, in ways which fortunately escape us and which we can only venerate.

When one wishes to make use of a mantra, several options present themselves: one may repeat it almost mechanically while relying on the power of the words, of the verb and of their vibratory emission; one may while repeating it mentally or emotionally refer to the master who has given it; one may, if one is so inclined, associate to their vibratory quality, which then becomes a mere carrier, some specific intent and the formation of the result one seeks; or one may, while pronouncing and uttering the words, concentrate in the experience they point at. Then, if the chosen or prescribed mantra is of the necessary caliber to invoke precisely That which is True, Right and Vast, That which reconciles the extremes and opposites and can recreate us into unity, its very terms become the living limbs of a call which will be more effective as one’s sincerity will grow.

We learn the respect of the verb, the demand and urge for truth in every expression and the formative necessity never to affirm what one has no direct experience of.

We also learn to submit to the active clarity of the inner axis – as one assays the gold of a jewel – every movement of communication so that its forms may carry as much truth as possible.
