Another Choice

Career, position, fame, the acquisition of signs of wealth, success and accomplishment: these scintillating formations now appear as so many slaveries and subjections to the devourers of existence. Because now grows in us the need of the right movement and action, of uncluttered attention to the truth of the present moment and its unique value, we enter into a presence to the world which was heretofore occulted. The ropes that were tightened around us are loosening and life suddenly poses new questions, the answers to which can only be discerned in union with That which alone IS – in alignment with a Necessity at once more centered and more free.

We begin to understand that the fruit of action is never external: it is in the state of consciousness.
