Another Choice

Yet the lines are but seldom so clearly drawn and, more often than not, one must navigate between all sorts of reefs and debris, a brouhaha and a disorder and a havoc of values and influences, of more or less subtle motives and intents and more or less trustworthy routines and harmonies.

And confusion begins right within oneself.

For, as regards good and evil, different approaches exist which are perhaps complementary.

One of them refers to the original choice of freedom: it would be through the paths of freedom that manifestation in its totality as in each of its elements would choose unity and, along the way, all possible contradictions would have to be explored and would be necessary to the eventual realization of the plenitude and joy of being.

By the inner pressure on our personal nature, we have been enabled to acquire abundant evidence of our own participation to the resistance and tacit complicity with the contradiction and opposition – of the part of obscurity it behoves us and is incumbent upon us to learn and present and offer to the change. Would it only be by the number of times we prefer to welcome and entertain, if not satisfy altogether, one desire or another, thus entrenching ourselves from a receptivity of our nature to the progress of consciousness, we each contribute to preserving the status quo.

It is not that such or such desire is intrinsically or inherently “bad” or “wrong”, it is simply that it is not offered to the consciousness, for we are convinced that it will only be fulfilled or satisfied if we somehow keep it sheltered – separate.

How would it be “bad” when it is integral part of our evolving nature?
