Another Choice

Prey and victims of these forces of extortion, we are united in hardship and sorrow, but not in the consciousness: for who amongst us all does not lend of oneself to the operation?

How to realize our human unity as long as we remain, in our physical consciousness as in our lives, the playthings of separate forces that know everything of our most intimate mechanisms and make of us all their hostages? These forces which still refuse to collaborate are those which have established in terrestrial life their uncontested hold, using evolutionary instruments that operate in the human being, such as intelligence, reason, will or need. So it is for this force that seizes our desires and magnifies them in order to better control us – our desires for dominance, enjoyment, fame, perfection, become insatiable, exacerbated, monstrous.

And so it is for this force that usurps the seat of reason and shuts the heart closed in order to exercise the exclusive reign of violence and fear.

For a human being is also a milieu, wherein incarnate all sorts of possibilities and positions taken by consciousness, its varied grasps onto the world and its numberless intents.

These come from different planes and, through their participation, become in this way like living and evolving links between humankind and their original domains – which do not themselves evolve but remain as eternal types.

It is also in this way that humanity, as both a site and a complex movement of progression and evolution of consciousness, has become the ferment of the universe.
