Another Choice

The expression “body and soul” is used in numerous tongues – as if we all were actually aware that in the end and in extremity, what remains as viable and trustworthy and real is the body and its soul and it is through body and soul that one gives of oneself.

And yet, the very term “soul” has been quite mishandled.

Which culture, which society does not have its store of tales and myths, legends and parables?

Thus the stages of creation, or of manifestation, have been variously described or approached.

When did adversity rise?

Wherefrom?

Why?

Why the darkness, the falsehood, the suffering, the hatred, the cruelty, the inertia?

Why death?

And what is our foundation of truth?

Our destiny?

Our divinity?
