... Last night Parthy had another one of his interesting dreams. He saw many snakes in front of him, moving quietly and gracefully, and they were whitish, as if “ghosts” of live snakes, and they seemed to be cobras and to be at ease in his presence, then he realized that Ganesha was also present nearby, standing with his hands clasped below his waist, his trunk turned slightly to his right, his eyes down as if in concentration, but Parthy felt a friendliness and a protection... (Yesterday he had tried to rig some barrier around his open well so that no more snakes could fall in and be trapped, and he had felt good about it, learning little by little to shed all fear...)
