And this morning, that same part of him was very quietly settled, as if wedded within my being… The thing is, how can I pray for him to find peace, feel comfort, compose himself and overcome any fear…? In such moments I find this community of Auroville to be lacking, for I do not sense that the response to such an event is either right or sufficient; mostly it is moral and shallow and people are quick to pay their farewells and drop their eulogies; most people believe they are “here” while the departed one is “there” and they hurry to make the distance quite safe (for them) – they do not understand or realize that this very distance is an illusion…!
