… I am unable to consciously reconcile two very distant perspectives. One, which seems to be held by Sri Ganesh, is unconcerned with destruction as it is entirely sure of the inexhaustible availability of the Shakti’s creative energy – in that sense, the destruction which now may occur is only a prelude to a greater or superior creation… The other, which perhaps is part of Your approach, Douce Mère, is that the best and truest way forward is through progressive change, progressive transformation, loving integration and respect of every single form, with a sense of economy, of utilizing everything in its right place, without any waste… … And then there is the matter of my … sincerity, or legitimacy…? … It is my understanding that the capacity to create harmony must be directly wedded with a clarity on the future, a clear-sightedness able to perceive future possibilities with a degree of certainty, so that the significance of what one creates can be consciously adapted in a lasting manner… To create, to work with Matter and Nature, only becomes meaningful when such clarity is guaranteed, when the fiat of the Shakti is granted – be it a work of art, a path or a temple… And I find that, time and again, I have perhaps failed to truly offer whatever it was I wished to create – perhaps due to some arrogance in me, a “will to do”, or else a movement of self-gratification…?
