… At dawn today, as the rain had abated a little, Parthy took his first walk over to Matrimandir, and felt no pain… And then, a while later, his mother came to visit on her way to work and she related an interesting dream she had last night - Parthy seems to have inherited from her a capacity of detailed and precise recall of a certain type of dreams. She dreamt that she woke up in the night, in their house; Parthy had returned home and was lying at his usual place, but was again in pain: both his legs were hurting again. But she had wakened up wanting to go out to relieve herself and, when she did go out of the house, she found that a strange man was seated in the cooking area of the backyard and realized this was a trained sorcerer doing black magic; he was tall, with very long hair and very dark and thick eyebrows and he was muttering as he held a doll and pricked its thighs repeatedly with a needle. She went back into the hall very distraught, closed the door behind her and at once called and prayed to the Shakti and to Ganesha, who both came to her then, inside the house, and approached Parthy and laid their hands on his legs to calm and take away the pain. She told them, alarmed, that she had seen this man out in the yard doing this harmful magic to hurt Parthy. They both reassured her then that they had known this from the beginning and had been protecting Parthy all through, but had not been able as yet to identify this man and therefore had wanted him to come again so they could catch him and know the person responsible for this act of witchcraft. Then they told her to open the door to the yard and see; she did so and saw the man running away frantically towards the burning ghats. Then she felt comforted and saw that Parthy was now alright and she woke up… Now this dream, in some graphic manner, seems to confirm a sense I have had from the onset of Parthy’s extreme experience, a sense of the intervention of an uncanny, clever and very determined separate will and intent. And it was that sense that led me to become very wary of most people around Parthy, including most members of his family, insofar as some of them could be conduits, through any sort of petty jealousy or spite, for this specific bad will. But of course I have also been careful not to draw any superficial conclusion or pass any judgment on anyone; instead, I have mainly and mostly chosen to pray and offer at another, deeper or higher
