… The cloud masses are slowly beginning to join – it already rained a little before dawn, and I do not need to do any watering today…

… I am quite absorbed, physically and emotionally, in the care of Parthy; sometimes, when the condition of his body seems to be easing back to a healthy balance, both of us hesitate to trust it, caught in a sort of superstition that we aren’t allowed to rest or rejoice, lest this negative and destructive energy catches up with us again…! In principle the thing to do would be to offer to the Lord any kind of attachment and to surrender directly to His Will, whatever it may be, with the same trust that He alone knows what is best… But in this case my position is this: yes, let the Lord’s Will be done – the True Lord’s! Not the will of this cold, relentless, cunning, exploitive claimant and usurper who relishes inflicting pain and destruction… Not that!

That is wrong – in the sense that it is separate, it is exclusive and it is miserable: it needs the Lord, just as this whole world needs the Lord…!
