- 04-02-06:

In the evening Bitti informs me that Madhu, Kusum’s elder son, has announced his intention to visit the temple to-morrow at 5 pm and has asked her son to take him there. I tell her that, as of this week, Madhu has continued to make representations to the Chairman in Dehli, Dr. Karan Singh, through some MPs known to him, so as to get me expelled from India. (This is after having filed several police complaints at the local Station, claiming that I had stolen a whole detailed list of items, which in fact had been presented to me over the years, to please their mother, with great insistence.) However, I offer to be at the temple and receive him quietly along with her, adding that one must pray for that miracle to happen, for everyone’s sake including Madhu’s, that he will realize and withdraw from these actions and find peace, as Kusum would have wished. But Bitti is scared that something even more negative may happen if I am present. So I arrange for Parthipan to be there.
