… I have been pondering the various responses to the projected event of the partial destruction of this compound, as if they were options…:

- This is the ultimate sign that I am not wanted in Auroville, as everything I ever attempt to create or serve is eventually destroyed, cancelled or negated. Thus, this whole life has been a “mistake”! I took the risk and I lost and there’s nothing left for me but to withdraw, as cleanly as I can. My perceptions have once more been proven wrong, the support of the Grace is not there and I’d better let anyone who is “in-charge” of things here in Auroville deal with the situation… - This is the expression of one more step away from the inner truth of Auroville into superficiality, utilitarianism, puny pragmatism, corruption and ordinariness and there is nothing to say and nothing to do but watch quietly… whatever may be the appearances and the seeming destruction and waste, an integral part and expression of a larger plan into which all forces and all powers, whether they want it or not, fit and belong. I can only accept whatever situation is formed and try my best to adapt to it – for instance, negotiate an access to the bore-well, or else simply surrender and see what comes and what wants to manifest, without any interference from me… - Everything that happens is always and without exception,

These are basically the three main approaches one can take, it seems to me.

I gathered from this Jawarlal, yesterday, that the authorities concerned still intend to place a Toll-gate to the south of the temple towards Pondy, even though the much-used by-pass road is north of it and therefore lots of traffic will be able to come into the Highway without passing through it: quite an absurd and unworkable plan, in Jawarlal’s opinion as well… So, there may still be a chance of a review of the logistics.
