… Every afternoon large banks of dark clouds gather in the sky and every evening lightning tears the darkening dusk – but no rain…

… I see today that M. has again come in my absence (and offered Rs. 10/- and a coconut as well), using the keys he still has not returned; and I find that my spontaneous, immediate response remains the same: a sense of violation, of an ugly imposition, of a low mind-set invading, claiming, wanting, intent on passing confusion and disorder and even distress.

And it shows me that I have not progressed! I am nearly as affected as when it all started…!

The thing is that I am ignorant; I do not at all know what the true way of progress and resolution is for M.; I still tend to feel and expect that, in any process of healing, he must at some stage realize his error, see it squarely and want to offer it unreservedly… But it may not be right… I do not know, I cannot know how this dark, ugly and harmful shadow can be dissolved in harmony and a new poise – but this is the goal and for this alone I must pray, if I pray at all…
