…Harikrishnan brings in another set of wind chimes which, without informing me, Manikandan had ordered from him; they both try to hang it in the Service tree, but the sound is not clear and Manikandan realizes it was a mistake and somehow cancels the order, while I am still occupied inside the shrine... But this leads, later, to both of us having a quiet talk… Among other things, he describes to me the first experience he has had, recently, of a real Darshan of Sri Ganesh; it was actually on February 14, Valentine Day, when I had myself noted a very special expression on Sri Ganesh. He says he’d been sitting before Sri Ganesh in meditation with his eyes open and he saw the flame of Agni surrounding Sri Ganesh’s figure, wedded to it but larger than it; he felt then that this Sri Ganesh here was beyond time, as ancient as several yugas and as unknown as the far future, and that he was actually a junction of both and that something very unique had been established through Adishankara’s lineage combined with Yours and Sri Aurobindo’s blessings and the direct connection with Auroville’s work and destiny… Through his words I recognized the genuineness of his experience and this brought me a certain relief, a sense of objectivity, and a sort of contentment to know that at least another person had found delight in Sri Ganesh, as I do…
