… This is a response to an earlier prayer: early on this morning a small boy of 5 or 6 years old accompanied by his father, a young bearded Israeli, suddenly walked in: the boy, Zohar, had wanted to come and see Sri Ganesh before going to school. It seems this boy has taken an intense liking to Sri Ganesh and is collecting images and statues of him; coming here, he had his father carry a clay figure of Sri Ganesh in a pouch and he sits down with it in his lap for a long time while gazing at our Sri Ganesh here and watching me clean and remove yesterday’ flowers… When they leave, I give the boy some petals of “Divine Love”. It interested me: on behalf of Pnina who is trying to save a very special ashram in the mountains near Jerusalem, I had asked Sri Ganesh to please take care of it and see that the place may continue to serve a spiritual purpose in that corner of the earth which has come to symbolize all extremism and exclusivism in religion. And so, this is perhaps another example of how Sri Ganesh works: establishing links, communications, circulating an influence, a presence, a wideness and sweetness of experience…

Sri Ganesh, In your dance And your stance And posture Of delight Your embrace Is strong, The arms of a brother Who knows Deep within –

Wearing a crown and cape Of honeyed fire

You whirl And draw To your breast, A friend,
