It pours and pours… Vipul arrives, with the same driver as last week, a gentle fellow who seems to really appreciate his time here. He has brought a few bags of loose flowers and several long-stemmed roses and, as previously, sits in silence for the entire puja. It goes on raining, and most of the time the power is off and I must use two candles to see what I am doing; the current returns, though, just as I finish the Aarti. Vipul and his driver leave soon after, under the rain.

Sri Ganesh, Even on a bed of beauty, In a flow of beauty, Truth’s simplicity Can be Awesome…

It takes me back to “One’s naked primal need” of “Savitri”, to be the self within, discarding all pretence…

Then comes the Delight, The Food of Delight, The Prasadam, The sustenance of Ecstasy.
