Today I was told something that I found comforting: a couple came from Puducherry to have Darshan of Sri Ganesh and stayed for the entire puja, and they seemed to appreciate it a lot. Then the man, the husband, waited to tell me that he was moved and that I had conducted the puja like “an authentic Indian”…! It is not that my ideal or my aim to be assimilated so as to “become Indian”, but this comment came to me as a sort of reassurance from Sri Ganesh himself that my service could be found acceptable by born Indians who do not require too many rituals and are content with simple offerings.

Sri Ganesh is strong and balanced, Well-endowed and well-equipped…
