But what would be its centre, its force of cohesion, its crucial reference?

If neither He nor She would reside in it, what would be the soul of the adventure?

Would there be no hierarchy of obeisance, no guide, no essential place?

The life of the ashram, and all the more so since She had retired upstairs in Her rooms, was rhythmed by the moments of inward concentration and renewal which each one could find near the Samadhi. A place of silence and concentration seemed indispensable to the progress of the physical consciousness. No human being could represent Them; could a symbol, a consecrated space, do it?

He had clearly affirmed that it was impossible to embark on this yoga without the Mother’s help and force and that no transformation could be accomplished without the action of Her Grace. The Divine Mother, the Great Shakti, the Consciousness-Force, the Truth moving on.

The Creatrix Force: without Her, nothing could manifest.
