The community’ internal economy had somehow composed itself into a hybrid system which attempted to open ordinary practices to an ideal as yet unreached but inscribed into the future – living and active reference in the consciousnesses. For it was still impossible, concretely, as the community’ revenues were still very insufficient, the farms were not yet in a position to feed every resident and the existing units could not as yet produce all the goods and utilities required. However a minimal amount was placed at the disposal of everyone who worked in a service or a unit and had no personal resources, as well as the daily food and such facilities as clothing and access to medical care. A financial service had formed to manage all the available monetary resources and each resident could be attributed a numbered individual account allowing one to operate any transaction internally without any actual exchange of money, while those who had access to private resources could themselves fund their own account and as much as possible contribute to the common expenses.
