The sycophants that assemble around a creative person and parasite it have on the meaning and the reach of its work a much more noxious and perverse effect than its declared enemies who, by their stance, designate and underline its value. They like to refer themselves to some higher or superior truth in order to control, deny, smother or condemn, while the truly creative spirit, left free to evolve, will seek to welcome, receive, accompany, integrate and orient. From this stifling interference, result a dull opposition and a resistance to the arbitrary that divides. A kind of arm-wrestling game was set, an almost impersonal disposition of conflicting energies and references spreading across the fabric of the collective life – “they” and “us”, “us” and “them” again, interchangeable according to the viewpoints and positions.
