It is the dream of every budding architect to be handed a large habitat project, so as to express and concretize one’s particular inspiration and understanding of forms, harmonies and of their right usages. Among the residents, several had earlier, before their arrival, already undergone a professional training and, if they had in the meantime had no occasion to put it into practice and had been involved in other activities, had however not forgotten their vocation. Even the smallest occasion to imprint their own signature in visible and viable forms at the service of the community was to them a boon. To formulate a specific project, identify its funding, present it to the community – and to realize it = each step sprung with obstacles, wariness and discord but also with lessons in widening, acceptance and opening to new perceptions and comprehensions, helping to compose a sort of singular epic. But there lacked not only a coherent vision of the whole, but also a maturity in the expression of the actual needs of a collective life apprentice of a truly new world. To merely distribute parcels of territory to various experimentations of the ideal habitat without prior agreement on directing harmony and cohesion – orientation, volumes and rhythms, presence of Nature – was more akin to an exposition or practical demonstration than to a lasting and meaningful creation.

Ideal forms, perfect forms already exist on their own plane.
