be realized through work, action and the dedication of every participant wherever one had come from and of all of them together at every moment. Few were ready or willing to dive into the reading of the founding texts : the life of the community was the field of study and progress. Yet, through the vicissitudes of time, the little hurts and little discoveries of daily experience, each one was gradually brought to reflect more deeply on the terms and conditions of an actual progress of consciousness, which alone would allow the incarnation here and now, in life and matter, of this very Unity, while at the same time discerning the place, function or vocation best corresponding to one’s nature. Thus, different processes of growth and awakening were simultaneously occurring within a single collective reality, which would probably perpetuate itself, could generate misunderstandings and disparities in the terms of personal commitments. And experience revealed as well the aptitude of the ego to adapt, its resources of cunning and its talents at mimicking : the ego of the worker, of the servitor, of the exalted, the inspired, of the “conscious” one…

One of the dilemmas facing everyone concerned the social and practical relations with the inhabitants of the neighboring villages. One of the principles that one wishes to invoke in a collective life turned to a future of harmonious unity is that of the nobility of every task - of the divinity of Matter. This implies the disappearance of all statuses, classes and categories, replacing them with one conscious approach towards all activities whatever they may be = thus, in this ideal society, there would no longer be domestic servants, but maintenance services run by the residents themselves.
