She, who had initially refused to lay any rule, had later on insisted on several absolute necessities or conditions = never to lie; no violence; no politics; no drugs; each one must work every day for the community; no private ownership; all is created for the welfare of the entire community and must be treated with care and respect; all profits must be put at the service of the whole; no single truth may impose itself as exclusive.

There was little money. There was enough to live frugally, but not to take care of everything – all the lands, all the growing needs, all that lay beyond one’s immediate surroundings. One rule which was tacitly observed dictated that the community must see to the needs of those who had nothing, while those who had access to outside resources should naturally provide for themselves and also contribute to the collective kitty. Thus, through such contacts and personal relationships in the world, the participation of more persons and agents was integrated in the urge and thrust towards a progress in consciousness for the earth.
