So by circling around each vertebra ten times and counting from zero to two hundred forty, you will have traveled up your entire spine. Two hundred forty seconds is four minutes, so this technique should take approxi- mately four to five minutes. Don’t worry about the exact location of each vertebra. Just know that if you are counting from 150 to 160, for example, your attention should be where you would imagine your six- teenth vertebra to be. I would imagine that to be in the middle part of my spine. When you get to two hundred, your attention should be around the base of the neck. You’ll notice that as you move up your spine, your mind starts to become calmer and more focused.
