It is today, Sri Ganesh, as when You are carried abroad in a great Procession, But there is silence Prevailing, Or it is the deep rhythmic sound Imperious you glide Midst the throngs, In a strong posture of Watchful concentration, And your advance is A white and red tide While the bells gently tinkle On your staff Of knowledge And a tender unassailable patience Is revealed in your smile… (20-05-10) Of the Light that embraces And the Power that Cares –

Sri Ganesh, Tranquil you move or stand Erect On the Road of the People, A Yogi and a Bard, Holding the staff of harmony, And your figure seems to be Filled in equal measures With power and light While,
