My experience of Satprem

Today it is in India that the battle for the world takes place. It is crucial that the Agenda must spread in India and awaken this dormant soul. This is what can save India and Auroville. You do not know all the obstacles, material and invisible… But your gesture has a great importance in this battle. Therefore I want that this money goes to the Agenda work in India. If you want to continue with your effort in future, I wish that your offering is made anonymously, whenever you wish, to the Cooperative, in a special envelope marked for the Agenda. It is not at all a matter of giving two rupees or two thousand rupees. It is the matter of your material awakening to the meaning of the Agenda. It is not an excess amount of money that you are giving, it is something else, which cannot be measured numerically. Practically, materially, this envelope can be sent to me here at my place, if you so wish. But I must give you some details of the practical organization for the distribution of the Agenda in India. As it happened, we have been forced to constitute a legally registered organism which is named ‘Mira Aditi Center’. It is this organism that oversees the Agenda within India. It is Michel D who looks after it since the beginning and he has done an excellent work. It is his work in Auroville, just as others look after the gardens, or Matrimandir or the kitchen. Consequently, in the end this envelope I shall hand it over to Mira Aditi Center, today and in future. The Cooperative may thus proceed as it wishes: either to send me here these envelopes, or to hand them over directly to Mira Aditi but in any case such is its destination. And I do insist on the anonymity of the donations. (Because it is directly between Mother and each one). Our aim at Mira Aditi is not only to solve all the problems of printing and publication of the books, but that of the translation too and there are some who have consecrated themselves to this task, also in Auroville. And then, above all, is the matter of the publicity and diffusion. There too you can help, each in their way, to spread these books among your friends and contacts in India. These books MUST, must reach thousands and millions of people: it is India’s salvation. There is thus this publicity matter, if I may say, and the matter of diffusion. Evidently, for a long time our venture will run a deficit, but as surely, little by little, these books
