My experience of Satprem

true necessity or aspiration in your father, I am sure that circumstances will arrange themselves in time for us to meet. Good work. In the simplicity of the heart. Satprem.” I had much hoped for this meeting and I still regret a little that it could not take place. Both of them, Francis and Satprem, had passed through similar times, each moved by an inner need that guided every one of their choices. Francis was just one year older than Satprem and he too had lived his twentieth birthday in a camp – but in Spain. Francis was very fond of dialog and detested all forms of evasion; he knew to always maintain a high standard of self-exigency and their exchange would have been, I am certain of it, very fruitful. But, as Satprem wrote, I could understand his reasons for staying isolated. Besides it was due to Francis that, for the first time, Satprem wrote to me simply “man to man” and without any “drama”. During his stay in Auroville, Francis was able to meet a number of Aurovilians and to engage the start of a dialog and we recorded several such sessions in the house of “Sincerity”. This dialog continued constantly between Francis and me up until his passing, two years after Satprem.
