I’ll get you something fine; and it’s so nice for me: my first letter in English language! But please, please … don’t answer to me in English! Not yet! I have still many difficulties for read, that is right, of course, for learn, but I should be too sad not quite understand what you write me for to me! I have forgotten to tell you this little story. One day I have received a letter from a Canadian. His name: Gerard Johnson. He calls me: “Dear Acadian cousin”, and believes to apply to a man. At first – I give you a summary of this letter -, he says to have passed many years researching the Acadian names: Jeanson, Jeansonne, Jeanconne… and found that these names are not native from Europe but Acadie (now Nova Scotia, Canada). Then, he explains that all these “Jeanson” are descendants of William Johnson arrived at Port-Royal, Acadie, in 1710, and married with Acadian girl, Isabelle Corporon.
