social existence, the free movement of goods and persons, the reciprocal respect of all acquired collective achievements, constant progress towards perfection, mutual aid and the sharing of all information… - these are noble and valorous aims; how is it then hat their pursuit turns out to be so noxious for the earth?

Today it has become impossible for us not to see.

Is it then merely a matter of changing our ways and habits?

It is only once one is free from all attachment that one may know the truth and unite with the True and Real in all that is. All attachment whatsoever – whether intellectual, emotional, cultural – generates dreads, preferences and judgments: the separation. Separation from the One, separation from the other and from the world. But we have somehow let ourselves be convinced that we must accept a growing dependency on external objects and technology so as to remedy to this separateness; but these depend in turn on control of the available energy sources. Therefore it is not on consciousness that we depend and it is not on consciousness that we can learn to rely; we are instead forced, obliged and compelled to place our trust in external powers of knowledge and treatment of information and resources,
