22) LONAVALA : April, June-Oct. : Due to its excellent climate visitors come all the year round except during monsoon. Places of interest : Rye Forest, Shivaji Park, Lonavala Lake, Bhusir Lake, Tangerli Dam, Vulvan Lake, Shirota Lake, etc., Access : Air : nearest airports are Pune & Santacruz (Bombay); Rail. Lonavala is situated on Bombay - Pune main railway line; Road: Connections to Bombay (via Khandala) and Pune by all weather metalled ghat road. : March, June-Oct.: Panchgani refers to five hills on which the town is built and offers charming views. A picturesque little town under the shady groves of casuarina and silver oak.
