And so we now understand that, in order to throw light onto this mixture and to contribute a united milieu and a transparent access, we must first make sure that all which in us is complicit of a universal contradiction or is affiliated to it is brought out in the open and exposed to the new experience and to the discernment that has awakened – that all which in us is by nature allied to a separate obscurity is effectively made bare and dislodged and presented to the clarity of this consciousness. It is then that, in and through this need to illuminate all of our hidden corners and recesses and to offer all of our movements including the most refractory and the most dissimulated to a great conscious light, we realize that an axis has been revealed, a verticality of consciousness has stirred into being – like a pillar that would pass through all, just a little behind the physical life, and that a whole immensity lies above our head. And we grasp the link: this inner presence is in constant and direct contact with a vast presence above and that, even while it reveals itself in our outer consciousness, it invokes and activates, in it, this very link.

We realize that everything holds and connects: all that in us clings to separateness or sustains it – all will to possess and all craving for power – meets directly, through affinity, all that is similar in the others and in the world.

Bodies and identities are slow formations or accretions which can in no way prevent the circulation of these currents, at once more immediate and less dependent on circumstances.

And now we comprehend a little better the function which the individual could fulfill in the destiny of the world, by becoming capable of offering one’s own part of the obscurity to an actual and definitive conversion.
