Another Choice

But whatever may be the occasions or the circumstances, every time we feel bound, as if impelled from within, to take a stand that is no longer for the sake of our own flag of identity, but for that of a larger truth or necessity and to turn to a universal stature of the human person, we then accept to be moved and led by another nature.

To take the side of Liberty: the liberty of growing and progressing through experience, the liberty of affirming one’s choices of life.

To take the side of Respect: the respect of each being and each force, since the One stands at the centre of all that is.

To take the side of Truth: truth as the law of progress, truth as the foundation and force of all becoming and all harmony.

Such appear to be the laws inscribed on the threshold of this other nature.
